How do I find financing for my business?
A strong business plan, complete with financial statements, is the first step to finding financing for your business venture. The Maine chapters of the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) as well as the Maine Small Business Development Centers can also provide guidance. In addition, here are some specific sources of funding:
The Maine Business Works portal provides access to comprehensive databases containing business assistance agencies, financing programs, demographic and labor force statistics, and commercial buildings. Some available financing sources are listed below.
