Accomplishments and Gaps in Maine Land Conservation

Since 2005, the Maine Natural Areas Program has been providing guidance on how well Maine’s habitats are represented in conservation lands. The latest report entitled An Assessment of Accomplishments and Gaps in Maine Land Conservation: Public Access, Habitat, and Natural Resources is a review of land conservation in Maine, guided by the goals of the 1997 Report of the Land Acquisition Priorities Committee and has been released in a format for both general and technical audiences. Earlier reports examined representation of Ecological Land Units and Ecological Systems in Maine Land Conservation.
